Intention
After getting my MFA, I went on to study scientific and metaphysical teachings in order to understand how energy vibrates, forms patterns, and is released. I worked collaboratively with craftspeople in India, Germany, Thailand, Nepal, and the USA, using various indigenous materials. Meanwhile, in my own studio, I began an exploration of energy patterns, shapes and symbols. My art is the visual representation of these ongoing studies.
Science tells us
that energy cannot be created or destroyed. So what happens
to our energy as we live and die? This question is very important
to me. I
make my art to create a conversation around these topics.
